HP Envy Inspire 7955e Cost Per Page, Undercut Across the Board

The black rate traces to HP's own HP-64XL-BK cartridge, priced at $63 for a 600-page yield, a small cartridge that keeps the per-page cost up. The running-cost floor among inkjets belongs to the Canon MAXIFY MB2720, at $4.17 for black and $13.16 for color per 100 pages — well below the Envy Inspire 7955e on both counts. It also costs less to buy, at $216, and prints faster, 24 ppm against the Envy Inspire 7955e's 15 ppm, with fax thrown in.
